The challenge
Workshop staff deal with real hazards around spray painting, equipment, and moving through a busy repair environment. Standard health and safety documents were easy to skim and hard to connect to the actual layout of the workshop - so the risks felt abstract instead of tied to places and tasks people recognise.
Objective
Help workshop staff understand autospray health and safety risks, follow safer workflows, and make choices that help prevent accidents. The aim is practical confidence on the floor, not just awareness of a policy document.
Result
Learners get safety training grounded in places and tasks they recognise, with checks and scenarios that stick better than a static handbook.
Approach
Learners move through an isometric map of the workshop, spotting hazards and following safer practices around spray painting, equipment, and getting around a busy floor.
Built in Storyline 360. Hotspots link each location to the right hazard content. Variables track progress, and conditions handle feedback, gating, and knowledge checks tied to situations on the floor.
