AI Challenges in the Workplace

A scenario-based module about an AI-related incident at work. Learners follow how it spreads across the organisation and see how different roles face different risks and responsibilities.

Objective

Help employees understand how AI challenges affect teams differently, spot warning signs early, and see how information and decisions support risk management and incident response.

How it was built

Built in Storyline 360. Learners start with a single workplace incident, then branch into role-based viewpoints they can explore in any order.

Variables track what each learner has visited. Conditional logic controls navigation, button states, and feedback as they move through the scenario.

Background

As AI tools spread across teams, staff had little shared understanding of how an incident unfolds, or what their own role is in spotting and containing it. Standard slide-based training did not show that the same event looks very different depending on where you sit.

I used one incident as the frame and let learners explore it from multiple roles. Branching pathways and layered feedback reinforce what each perspective adds to the picture.

The module gives employees a clearer sense of warning signs and cross-team responsibilities during an AI incident, without a passive read-through.
